Week 4

We were SO lucky this week to have a visit from Nucrush trucks!  We were very excited to learn about how trucks move, how different parts of the truck move, and what different trucks are used for.  Have a look at some  of our photos:

We got to sit in the truck and have a look at the different buttons that move the different parts of the truck.

 We also got to press the button on the radio and talk to our friends in the other truck!

Look at us lining up!  We are so excited; it was hard to stand still and wait our turn!!

Vehicle creation

We designed our vehicles and now it's time to use those designs and create a vehicle for our Grand Prix...we had SO much fun!

Testing out how things roll...

Today we built ramps and tested out how different types of wheels roll.  We looked at little wheels and large wheels and found out that big wheels roll faster than little wheels.

Some students built ramps using big blocks.  We extended our learning by testing out what happened to the vehicles if we made our ramps even steeper.  We learnt that our vehicles roll much further if we build steeper ramps.

What a fun day of testing out how different types of wheels roll!
